Edit a PDF quickly, without uploading it
PDFLoom edits the PDF you already have: click the text you want to change, replace it, delete it, or add new text and images. It runs on your device, so the document never leaves your computer.
Update text in a PDF
Select a word or a line, type the replacement, and PDFLoom removes the original words from the page and writes the new ones in as real text, in the same position and size. Search, copy and other tools then see only the new text.
Remove text from a PDF
Delete a selection and it is removed from the file, not just covered with a white box, and the text around it stays exactly where it was. For information that must never be recoverable, use Redact, which also clears hidden metadata.
Add text, images and links
Place new text, drop in images and add links directly on the page.
Fix PDF formatting
Reorder, rotate, crop and extract pages, and highlight or annotate while you review.
Frequently asked questions
How do I edit text in a PDF for free?
Open the PDF in PDFLoom, choose Edit, click the text, and type your change. There's no account to create and nothing to upload.
Will editing change the rest of the page?
Only the text you select is affected. PDFLoom checks that the surrounding lines stay as they were.
Can I edit a scanned PDF?
A scan is a picture of text, so run Make searchable (OCR) first, which adds a text layer you can search and select.
